Mother Dear,

Your beauty is beyond compare

We your children now rise to call you blessed

You’ve loved us from the moment our hearts began in the depths of you

You’ve proven oh so true

Oh your eyes,

What beauty to behold!

For you see in your children what very well must unfold

Oh your hands,

So swift to care

And point out what we must never dare!

To touch our face

And put us in place

So tender, so strong

You’ve woven in us a life of hope, purpose and diligence

Oh your feet,

Battered from days of long heat

Standing by our beds

And making sure we are always well fed

Mother oh dear mother, your heart

Filled with prayers that have guided us to such a great start!

Filled with unimaginable beauty!
